    Default e60 center bore

I found out something today I didn't know. Did a search on here and didn't find anything so I thought I'd post it.

I bought wheels from an e60 for my touring. I assumed the center bore was the same as an e39 so I also bought the hubcentric rings. Turns out with the e60 they went back down to the 72.6mm hub so e60 wheels bolt right on.

This should mean more wheel choices available in the correct offset and center bore for the e34 as more manufactures start making e60 specific wheels.

Yup -- the only 5 series (thusfar) to use a different hub size is the e39. Adam (Incantation) runs 18's from a uh...E60...as well, I believe.

Yep that poor BMW engineer......can you imagine the added cost of having to inventory, on a global level, 2 part numbers for each wheel simply due to a mistake when spec-ing out the E39 hubs. I was told it cost BMW an additional $4million a year..needless to say, he has since been relieved of his duty.

Not yet. I just bought some new wheels for my sedan and I'm going to hold out and see if I need them for it.
