Default Best performing, lowest dust brake pads?

I know we talk about brakes all the time, but since we lost the posts from the month of June, let's get some new info...

I'm about to change my brakes. I will use OEM Zimmerman rotors (I get a great deal on them), but what about the pads?

I currently have OEM pads still from the previous owner, they brake well, but the dust is overwhelming. My wheels are black a day after washing them!

So I am looking for best performance, lowest dust, and hopefully quiet too.

The use is daily driving, no track, but I drive fast and need to stop fast!

    Thanks for your input
    Chris

I bought the axxis ultimate deluxes because of the ratings but havent installed them yet along with the new roters. According to the site they are very comperable to the metalmasters but lower dust and better cold performance (or something like that).

It looks like people are also happy with the Raybestos QS Ceramic...???
I just want the most up to date feedback!
also the "Ultimate" is suggested by some, but on the charts, they are shown to be somewhat noisy and somewhat dusty.

Maybe I will try the Deluxe Plus... similar to oem but no dust,
I would buy the Ultimates in a second if it weren't for the possible noise and dust... I am just F+#*@ing tired of dust!

If any of you guys have the Ultimates, I would love to hear what you think so far, quiet??? dusty??

Rockyfeller, what did you end up using on your 540? ( http://www.bimmer.info/forum/showthr...6&page=2&pp=10 )

Jeff, according to the chart I saw, the Ultimates are more dusty, but better cold weather performance.
When will you be installing them?
I would love to get your feedback!

Default Deluxe are indeed good and low dust

I have been using the current verions of that pad for years and have found they stop as well as the OE pads and have very little dust. Good choice. I use them on all my cars.
