    Default 525i front wheel vibration

I recently purchased a 91 525i for my daughter. It came with OZ wheels
which vibrated badly at 45mph. I replaced with borbet/new tires
and installed hub centrics. But i still get that shake around 45mph
as if the wheels are coming off. i put 74-72.6 mm hubcentrics
but it still does not center exactly. Any other suggestions that will help?

Secondly I get the abs light after the car gets over 10 mph even without the brakes applied. I have cleaned the sensors, the hub assy. Does anyone know what the sensors are supposed to read in ohms? I hope it is something simple. mike

Sure there's not a suspension issue causing the shimmy? It's a common problem, and I'll hedge a bet on it if the vibration disappears above 60mph or so -- do a forum search for more info than you'll probably ever want to know

Does the ABS light *turn itself off* after each >10mph incident, or is it consistently on after starting the car and moving it?

    best, whit
