    Default M50 oil pan tapping...

I need to tap my oil pan for a 5/8" fitting for oil return from supercharger... do I absolutely need to drop the pan? Several people say pack the drill bit and tap with grease, over fill the pan so the oil bleeds out of the hole and I will be fine... but is this enough? Do I need to drop the pan?

Bill R. said that it's not that hard to get the pan off if you drop the power steering pump off... but I am not sure, this sucks I am not looking forward to it. Anyone in the Philadelphia area want to help out sometime soon?
