    Default Depo Headlight install ?

What is needed to install the Depo euro elipses in a '92 525? Do I have to splice the wiring or are adapters needed?

It's up to you. I bought plugs compatible with the stock socket fittings, and soldered them to to the Depos wires, so mine plug in to the stock wiring. I got them from rallylights.com. I forget what the stock bulbs numbers are, but you can look on those to help you know what number plugs to buy.

yea i had to mess around with the wiring for mine. nothing difficult.. would have been easier to use harnesses though

also.. the relay that came with the unit was a piece of shxt.. i live in a rainy climate and the humidity/rain got to it after only 1 month.. rusted and wouldn't work. i paid 30 bucks for a nice one and it has worked fine now for a year or so

pretty straightforward job.. give yourself the better part of an afternoon to do it

Could you post pics of these headlights? I'm curious as to what they look like.

    Thanks,

if they take "euro" bulbs they are H1.People have posted that the wiring can be purchased from the dealer...Don Mcadam has a complete write up on installing a set of euro hellas, the procedure would be identical,if the depos are euro copies.

    Default Depo Install

I bought Depo headlights a month or two ago. Install was fairly straightforward. Remove grill and headlight surronds, remove old headlights, install new ones and hook up wiring.

I had trouble removing the driver's side headlight assembly due to the lack of room in the 530 engine bay. Also, I have yet to hook up the eye features yet. But - there are instructions on the board to do so easily without using the supplied harness.

The H1 headlights allowed me to use Narva Rangepower +30s which have dramatically improved my low beam visibility.

But having a '95 you already had elipsoids, where I have sealed beams. I think there is a wiring difference between the 2 isn't there?

Do the sealed beam headlights use the 9005 and 9006 bulbs? If so the wiring plugs directly into the bulb. My Depo lights came with 9005 to H1 adapters.
