Default rear door small sunshade fix

I thought this might be also of interest to some of the E34 drivers with sunshades. A new one costs about 75 EURO. But if it just does not retract, it can be repaired

I like that. Do these ever appear on ebay?

Very rare on Ebay or other used parts places. I wanted to buy a new one, but one side costs about 80 EURO for the longer rear door of my 750iL.
If you want to install the shades for the larger side rear window, you also need a new piece of the upper door panel.
So it is not that easy to retrofit.
