I tried another EWS DME from a 525i and the race car engine light came on.
With my DME the engine light doesn't even come on.
The car didn't start because of the Silver EWS, I didn't want to swap chip because I didn't want to mess up his EWS.
We tried my DME on his car and it didn't work because he had EWS.
I guess I should try it on someone else car...

Bruno- I've got one from a '95 525i (413 bosch number).

Thanks Mark, we put a 413 DME brown lable. And.... the car ran, it is so nice to hear her run.
Now I just need a working DME and I can move on to painting the car...
