I dont believe the 7's came with them. They are a rare option on the E39 i know.
I've just come back from the shops with a huge table sitting next to me in my e34 which was too wide to put in sideways and had to take out the front seat. So I was thinking when i do get a few more buck to buy a new car i would like with folding seats rather than a metal panel. So just want to know about these two cars as theyre possibility in the near future.

u just took out the front seat...just like that...at the shops..u just happened to have a star driver to take the bolts out with and unfasten the cabling for the seatbelt adjuster...hmmm more to the point where did you put the seat coz it dont fit in the boot
Yeah I did. I have a a few tools in my boot and i took off the headrest turned it upside down and put it behind the driver seat.
The guy who sold me the 540 I got two days ago didn't even know they were on the car. I didn't know it until I happened to find the original window sticker and found the line item for them. What a fantastic option for $475. It's hard to believe that they don't all have it. Much more useful than Xenon headlights IMO.
and much cheaper to add xenons!!!!!!!!Originally Posted by SRR2

Man - I think you need to spend more money on your house and less on the car.

Anyone been in both cars recently (e39 and e38) how do they differ in terms of comfort and fancy stuff.
