Was this the one where the drive shaft was twisted like the end of a left handed cigarette?

    Yup

We just finished building the second one of those (black). Only two 750 6 speeds in the world (that I know about).

Here are some (badly taken) pictures of the two cars at work....probably three weeks ago.

An INTERESTING story about this car that I learned today -- it was originally supposed to be an R61 (or whatever RDsport would want to call it). Of course, Josh's favorite person fell through on it.

    Default Been there, drove that

plus, I almost smashed into it backing my wrecked 540i donor car off the trailer at Brett's place

and, yes, it is "freakin awesome."

That car is awesome. Just wondering what the ballpark price is. Is it in, "If you have to ask..." territory?

It depends on what you want. Rob supplied the silver car; #2 was provided by the customer, as well. Both got UUC exhaust, UUC brakes, wheels, and suspension changes in addition to the trans swap.

Yup. I mentioned your woes in obtaining the correct caps. Brett wondered if the wheels were no longer in production. I assume that they are (?) Either way, the feel-good conclusion of the conversation was that 1) RD products are good, 2) RDsport service isn't so hot.

By the way -- surely your mom will want to drop $6k on genuine Alpina 20s
