Front collar nut size?

Is there any way to find out what the size is without the removal of the strut? I am ordering new shocks and well it appears that they need to know the collar nut size.

ahh...what they are referring to is the nut under the plastic cover above the strut, you take the cover off from under the hood.

Not sure of your production date but what your looking for is part #6

one of these works great, could probably score one at a pawn shop for next to nothing, as long as it can handle a couple inches it'll do
