    Default Badge sizes.

    Howzit all,

Well since I've taken on a new car. It needs some TLC I'm afraid.

So, I want to get new badges for it. Badges I need/want

Boot badge - the '525i' bit.
    Bonet Badge.

Am I correct in saying the Bonet badge size is 82mm. And if I wanted a BMW badge replaced on the back that is 62mm?

    Thanks for the help guys!

Are you talking about the roundel?

bonnet badge? - I assume you mean the Roundel emblem on the hood (bonnet) and trunk (boot)....they are the same size front and rear & don't forget to purchase 2 grommets, too...they are the little rubber "condoms" that help secure the Roundel in their respective holes in the bonnet/boot.

the 525i emblem - there are two different style "numbered" emblems depending on your car's build date (which should be located on the driver's door jamb). If your car was built before 7/1991 the 525i emblems are block style...build date 7/1991-up the 525i emblems are italicized. (by-the-way...the "525" and the "i" are two seperate pieces.)

If you go to the following link...scroll down to "emblem" and click on the diagram...it will open up into an exploded diagram with the BMW part number index below it....again remember to choose the correct diagram that corresponds to your car's manufacture date: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.d...04&hg=51&fg=20

I'm not sure what the "mm" is...or even if its that important since most vendors sell them by the BMW part #...which you can get from the link I inserted in my previous post. And if you're looking for used ones...the part number embossed on the back of the Roundel badge will again let you know you have the correct one.

Sorry, I meant the diameter of the roundel. I think standard size for them is 82 milimeters. Will take a look at that link though.

    Thanks!
