    Default potential tire problems

i recently had new 225/60/15 tires installed on my 525 (from 205/65/15). i have e39 wheels with hubcentric rings. the wheels have never been a problem in the past. a few weeks ago when i was changing out the thrust arms, i discovered that the tires are slightly rubbing the strut tower.

anyone else have this tire size? is a slight rub a problem? i don't feel it when driving. finally, i thought a very small spacer could fix the problem, but i think that could be a problem with the hubcentric rings (i'm thinking they would no longer be very snug).

    any ideas?

    as always, thanks very much
