    Default Clutch Replacement

I read the problems below on trans noises when the pedal is depressed. I've had this noise for a while and now it's louder than ever, sqealing. The car is also chugging when clutch is halfway engaged but grips well when fully disengaged. Last clutch was at about 180k miles. I'm now at 348K miles. Indy did last clutch job. I've recently installed brand new driveshaft, not rebuilt, and a new axle from BMA within the last 2-3 months. I'm ready to tackle the clutch replacement. Does anyone have a good write-up on this procedure? Do I need any special sockets/tools? I've already order a new Sach's clutch kit, pivot arm, and pivot pin. I've also got new shift bushings to install when I do the job.

    Thanks Guys,

You might want to consider doing an e28 clutch conversion. I would guess at almost 350,000 miles your original dual mass flywheel might be showing signs of wear and attributing to the noice problem. An e28 flywheel and clutch kit is a direct bolt in for the factory e34 setup.

Thats pretty impressive mileage, you the original owner ?

Hmmm... interesting... why not stick with the stock clutch & flywheel?

Default Not original owner but been around the car since 30k

I've thought about this conversion. Where do I find an e28 flywheel? How much is this going to add to my cost?
