checker/shucks/kragen has mobil1 on sale every once in a while for $4 or $5 per quart with coupon from the paper
Hey,
Time for oil change again... Where do I find 0W40 Mobil 1 that is a great bargain? I just stopped by my local Wal Mart and there are no 0W40 Mobil 1 and 5W40 SUV is all sold out. $6 a quart?!
What do you guys think about the Mobil 1 Extended? Seems like a hype to me as I believe the ?regular" Mobil 1 has a 12,000 miles life whereas Extended has 15,000 miles. I only remember this from Amsoil oil test. Amsoil said theirs will go up to 25,000 miles... whooo....

my local wall-mart (milford mi) has mobile one in a 5 quart container for 20 bucks, they also have castrol syntec, and most other synthetics for around that price
...and $25 for the 'extended drain' 15K mile stuff...Originally Posted by kyleN20
call pepboys and see if they have started carrying the 0w40 or 5w40. if they do, they have a MADD calendar which you can purchase in-store for $1. inside of which is a coupon for "buy one get one free" mobil 1 oil quarts. its only slightly less than the $20 walmart jug, but you get an extra quart from the pepboys deal for free. limit 3 i think. the coupon expires at the end of this year.
scratch that, it appears that they've stopped selling the 2005 calendar, and the 2006 one has no m1 coupons in it (must have cost them too much). the absolute best source for info on the best oil deals is the "deals" section of bobistheoilguy.com forum, available here
