1995 530i---Just a couple of questions

Hello Board;
I have a couple of minor glitches involved in my 1995 330i.
Since I am new to the car (not quite 1 month) I wondered if anyone has experienced these:
1) Automatic Transmission indicator display (indicating the gear engaged) is intermittent.

2) Slight howl (also intermittent) from thr power steering pump although the fluid is at the proper level.

Any answers?
I love the car and all else functions flawlessly. It runs and drives like a dream.

search inspection 1 2 , if you dont have complete maintenance recors you should do the inspections and change all fluids except trans which is only the fluid that comes out when you change the filter (this trans takes synthetic Dextron III)
