And you thought you were having a lousy day.
Now you see why 17" wheels get all bent out of shape here:
DETROIT -- A giant sinkhole swallowed half of a car driving in southwest Detroit Tuesday morning, Local 4 reported.
The driver, who was only referred to as "Lou," said he was driving on Scotten, north of Michigan Avenue, when his car sunk into the hole. He said there used to be a bump in the road at that location, but when he drove through Tuesday morning, his new Honda fell in.
"When I slowed down, everything just kind of fell in, and down I went," said Lou.
The hole was believed to be about 15 or 20 feet across and 6 feet deep, Local 4 reported.
"Another fine example of the city of Detroit's tax dollars not being put to work," said Lou, who plans to bill the city of Detroit for the damage to his vehicle.
The Honda has since been removed from the sinkhole. Police remain at the scene.
No injuries were reported.
