    Default need help

    i own a 1990 520i and the batter is flat in it and i cant unlock the door. i have try to overide it but its not working. what can i do? i also want to know will a brand new m3 or m5 running gear will fit in it?

    did you try the emergency unlock as per the owners manual? passengers side door, turn the key as you're lifting the handle. don't know if that's what you meant by override...

    yeah thats what i mean. My key only works on drives door and i have try it on that but its like the lock is to far down and it wont move.

    "My battery was to low to open the doors but it had just a little bit left for the alarm. the solution for me was:
    First the thing you need:
    - a second car or battery
    - starting cable (booster cable)
    - an extra hand

    Place the minus on the engine (crawl under the car). On the driver side is the alternator, take the rubber seeling of and place the plus on it. (same can be done with the starter)
    Let the second person open the door"

    This is true. It worked on a m50 525i.

    Default It is easier to catch a positive lamp wire ...

    in the trunk lid, sure there is a post on that. Careful with reversing polarity.

    he can't unlock the car ... unless you know some magic way to go through sheet metal.
