Default Well I went down and checked it out

It was a little used car dealership down by the airport, and the salesman were just lurking like vultures.

I brought my wife & 4yr old son for means of escape (bitchy wife & screaming brat) a killer to any sales manager’s evil plot.

But all as lost when the car had a

    Dead battery

    Rotting radiator

    Fan missing a blade

    Shattered radiator shroud

    Twisty seats

    Missing front door tweeters

Crusty oil cap (not Mobile 1)

    Noisy Power steering pump

Rust spot on the roof rack rail (a death rattle for any car)

The kid who came to show us the car, admitted that he was just a detailer and was trying out sales on the weekend. He was paled when I showed him how to jump start it and all the many fabuolas features of the car.

The sticker price on the car was $12,000.

After playing with the dual panel sun roof for 15 minutes and a test drive, while ripping on all the broken stuff, I boldly offered $4,000 cash for the car.
After 10 minutes with the sales manager, the kid came back and countered with $8,000.

I said, I'd pay 8k for a 15 year old car that lived in a museum, but not for that... and left without the car.....

Oh well...back to the Jedi school of mind tricks.

Adam....Thanks for the Carfax, it was a big help.

    Default Patience is virtue

Just got a call form the Auto Dealer who is selling this gem for 8k, they are now asking me to come back and talk about the 4k offer i made weeks ago.

Hmmm ....caravan with a fried trans, 525it in my sights, I don't know....Should I go the Vegas while things are looking good?

    Good story,

You may have made the only offer. I guess it dropped $1000 a week

I imagine you are going back to talk to them??

    Let us know,

    Default A sinner can repent

With just one sacred oil change, live on in the slippery path of synthetic righteousness.

Now all join hands and say Hallelujah! We can all reach 200k in the shadow of a Mobil 1 bottle, and enjoy the varnish free rewards to be given to all who dare peer under the oil cap deep into the depths of the valve cover.

    Ahmen Brothers & Sisters

Now please send money, so I can afford to keep my fleet free from sin.
