Default Do all E34s have a twin mass flywheel?

My car is in getting the clutch replaced and they are telling me I don't have a twin mass flywheel. I thought all E34s had them. Can anybody verify? The ETK shows that my car has one, but they are claiming I have a normal flywheel and they will send it out to be machined. My car is a 525I with an

Not sure about e34 m20's. Early e32 m30's could come either way. I'm not sure what the cut-off date was until the were all dual-mass or if e34 m30's ever came with std. flywheels. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Given the m20 goes much further back in history - its possible that it was replaced with an earlier unit. Its very common on the m30 motors.

The M20 525 would have a single mass flywheel, interchangeable with any E30 325i unit. ETK categorizes all flywheels as "Twin Mass" under the heading.

Otherwise, the only E34 to come with a single mass flywheel is the 3.6 M5 -- around 12 pounds. 3.8s use a dual mass.
