I kinda enjoy the sandblast look, relaxing in the morning kinda like looking through the glass on my shower.
Actually it went in my '90 325is, yesterday. WOW! What an up feeling. Seems like a brand new car. It has 193K, most highway. Highway miles are easy on a car EXCEPT for the windshield.
Based upon advice here, I selected a PPG windshield $210 out the door. An OEM glass (BMW logo) would have run me about $340. I chose the PPG in the hope it may last longer without sand blasting. My 15 month old BMW windshield in the 535 already exhibits some sand blasting, although not very extensive.
