Default 1988 Alpina B10 engine, anyone?

Maybe this can interest someone here. Basically, if you don't read french, the engine is from a car that was imported from Germany and is now wrecked. It's 3.5 liters. Supposed to be #40 of 570 and he has papers to prove origin. Is it the real thing? I wouldn't know... Is it worth it? I'd like to know... How much would someting like this be worth, assuming it is in good shape?

poor translation from the froggy language:
Engine to import dallemagne alpina b10 3,5l 1988 the engine was to import with the car which is now loss total. Jai all paper proving the source and lautenticite engine. Cest 40ieme of 570 in the world, the engine comes with lordinator Headers and complete line ALPINA. Excel for a swap in practically all BMW (e30, e34, e28, 325, 318, 525, 535, 635 etc. ) Driving 260HP, 260 lbs lengthens the torque one. For connaiseurs only

if anyone wants info, I will be your translator, I speak perfect french, babelfish just doesn't cut it sometimes!

MTL525, have you contacted the seller?
    in this area...
It will not get much - there is no real market for it here.

take note: This could end up being a real deal for a serious buyer.

he also has these "e30 eyes headlights" for sale...?!

No, I haven't, I have no use for it. My engine is running real strong and I don't want to do a swap, I have another project for this summer. the 525 will remain as is, I like her that way...

Chris, 525...does the guy "sait ce qu'il en a?" Surely he must know there is some value to it and look around on "Pouce de la Rue"...
