Default E32/E34 ABS/ASC diagnosis via blink (light) code

Push brake pedal and the switch for ASC at the same time and keep it pushed down.
    Switch ignition on
Release brake pedal and ASC switch
    ASC light starts blinking
    BC = blinking Code

    BC1 x(=times) blinking - no fault
    BC2 x blinking - EMS fault
    BC3 x blinking- Motronic fault
BC4 x blinking - RPM sensor (sender)(ABS-Sensor) fault rear left
BC5 x blinking - RPM sensor (ABS-Sensor) fault rear right
BC6 x blinking - RPM sensor (ABS-Sensor) fault front right
BC7 x blinking - RPM sensor (ABS-Sensor) fault front left
    BC8 x blinking - ABS-solenoid valve (Hydroaggregate) rear left
    BC9 x blinking - ABS-solenoid valve (Hydroaggregate) rear right
    BC10 x blinking - ABS-solenoid valve (Hydroaggregate) front right
    BC11 x blinking - ABS-solenoid valve (Hydroaggregate) front left
    BC12 x blinking - ASR-Plunger valve fault rear left
    BC13 x blinking - ASR-Plunger valve fault rear right
    BC14 x blinking - valve relais fault
BC15 x blinking - return feed pump fault
BC16 x blinking - storage load valve fault (in German Speicherladeventil)
    BC17 x blinking - pressure control
BC18 x blinking - Leakage fault, for example das pressure container empty
    BC19 x blinking - pressure fault
BC20 x blinking - influence on transmission, wiring fault
    BC21 x blinking - ABS/ASR-control units fault
    BC22 x blinking - TD-signal fault ( very often the speed signal)
BC23 x blinking - Option pin wiring fault

    To BC 22:
    TD Signal fault
    control unit terminal 55
    ignition off
remove plugs from ABS/ASR-control unit and Motronic-control unit on the left bank (M70)
Check wiring from ABS/ASR-control unit terminal 55 to Motronic- control terminal 6 for broken wires, /Plus-/and ground connection to be checked.
In case you find no fault, read fault codes from MOTRONIC unit/ECU
In case no faults on MOTRONIC: change ABS/ARS control unit.
