For heated seats you should have the switches already if they are installed.
I think that was an option. Maybe the wires are already under the carpet. There must be a EBA for installing heating mats.
Well I saw a thread the other day about E34's with heated mirrors but assumed it was a European/North American thing.
So this morning I started the car and shortly after lowered the window and, expecting cold glass, put my hand on the mirror.
Hey Presto! It was warm!
So it appears I may also have heated seats... well at least the heating elements.
Now I'll have to check and see if they can be coaxed into working.
These cars keep popping up new little techno gems just to keep us amused!!

i think heated mirrors is a std thing,I didnt know mine were heated till one frosty morning I started the car then ran up to get some luke warm water to defrost the screen,when i came back down the mirrors were steaming

Some must have been available w/o heated as when I bought my replacement there was a part listed for non heated.

I don't have heated mirrors Or I do, and they don't work.
