What really shits me off is that when my E34 was ONLY 2 weeks old, it was involved in a minor accident.

Fast forward 16 years to the now fastidious owner (me), everytime I wash her I get so dejected coz everywhere I look there is overspray, flaking paint, mis-matched paint... What a CRAPPY respray!!!

The car was $110k here new, and it looks like it was done by a backyard spray painter!! WHAT A JOKE!!!!

For example: the expansion strip between the rear bumper and the body is supposed to be black... It was just painted over, and now the paint is flaking off!! Also, where the bumpstrips are half-way down the doors... Paint is flaking here too!! And overspray on the lic. plate lights, door seals, and front grille pieces!! (remove these parts and do the job properly you lazy motherf.ckers!!!)

I want to find out who originally repaired it, and smash their face in!! I can't believe that someone would be so lack-lustre repairing a then very expensive car!!

    Gone but NEVER forgotten. :'(

    And then...

What makes you think that this particular respray is from when she was 2 weeks old?
For all you know it might have been crashed again later on and fixed cheaply.

I took the car to its original owners after I tinted, lowered and put the alloys on it. I asked them about its history, and they said it was hit in the back, and pushed into another car, about 2 weeks after it was bought. They were the only owners of the car, and I got it from the dealer were they traded it on another BMW.

    Gone but NEVER forgotten. :'(

    And then...

In that case its strange, unless they didnt take it to dealer in which case its just plain stupid.
