    Default e34 master cylinder leaking

    hey guys,

ive got a leak from the master cylinder, not quite sure if its from the bottle end or the seals itself.

anyone come across these problems? and any rebuild kits avail or prices on a new?

    thanks

most likely the grommets on top 34 31 1 163 464 bmw # or 1221713 volvo # couple bucks a piece, drain the bottle and refill with dot 4 someone probably put in dot 3 and that's what ate the orignal grommets, usually no bleeding requiered

Yea, suction out the fluid and remove the reservoir. Pull up while rocking it slightly side to side, not front to back. It will take quite a bit of effort to remove it, but it is strong.
