two screws.. easy
What is the easiest way to replace the brake duct on a 94 540i? I would really like to do it without taking off the bumper. Does anyone know how many screws hold it on and the difficulty of taking it off?

Awesome. Someone had told me there were 6. I have only found 2 and thought since it was held in by the channel intake, that could be all. Thanks

It is more than two, close to 6. You can do it by take the fog light off and feel around.

Damn, so it is 6. Is there a way to take it off without taking off the bumper?

Yes, take off the fog light and use a mirror, but it will be easier to do it with bumper off, so you can see/get all the screws/bults.

removing the bumper is in no way a hard thing to do, it is intimidating the first time. Once you do it youll know what I mean. Pull the bumper strips from the front and loosen 4 bolts and remove the side 1/4 screws i think between the sidemarker and fenderwell. pull...done.
