Oil for manual gearbox - Getrag 220

which is a better fill - usual manual gearbox oil or dexron III atf fluid?

i know bmw recommends atf fill for colder climates but i feel atf is too thin over here in my tropical malaysia.

also i read that some bmw manual boxes has an orange label which means it 'needs' atf fluid - will going with manual oil be bad?

Have you contacted yor local BMW dealer, they should know best what they recommend for the climate in tropical Malaysia.
