Your post on my battery thread was very helpful. The current draw was 0.15amps. I removed fuses until the amperage draw changed. When i removed fuse #22, the amps dropped to 0.01amps.

Apparently, fuse #22 powers the:

headlight washer cleaning system (which i dont have)

"trailer"

and

adjustable wiper pressure system (which i dont have)


I suppose i will just leave the fuse out, since it doesnt power anything that i have.

But why does it draw power if nothing is attached?
I do not have a wiring diagram for 1990.
There must be something which draws power.
How about the windshield cleaning system (motor)?
What is your VIN. Or better check on my website your month it was produced in 1990 under VIN decoder.
Is it a 1990 model, or a 1991 model produced in 1990?
Production month is important.

Let's go and search for the bugger, just removing a fuse is a temporary fix.

If the wiper looks like this, you have the pressure system

Its possible i do have the variable wiper pressure.

I just checked, and no adjustable wiper pressure.



I also looked at the windscreen wiper/washer section in the electrical diagram section of the bentley manual, but none of those systems use fuse #22.

Im beginning to think that fuse #22 is really not used by anything on my car, perhaps the wiring for an option i dont have is somehow drawing a current.

an e32 for that matter in the manner that Shogun described.

There are too many devices that run on for a period of time after the car is shut off to check the draw the way that you did. Here is the procedure that bmw specifies and the time period needed to make sure that everything is off before checking the draw, you also need special tool adapter for your ohmeter so as not to interupt the circuit as described below.

Also the bmw electrical diagrams show the 90 model starting as of 9/89 and the wiring diagrams for the 89 are for earlier than 9/89. The 90 has no fuse 22 used in it. The 89 shows fuse 22 for the APV , wiper pressure control

The normal parisitic loss for your car is 40 milliamps. The e32 is 50 milliamps. You cannot open a door or disconnect the battery circuit after the time period is up or it starts the cycle over and you won't find out the actual loss
