Great car....especially if a 5-speed. Value is hard to place. Two 535's in San Diego languished in the newspaper for weeks at the 5800 - 5300 price range with a few more miles but not high. I paid $3k for my 89 with 192k and then spent about $4k on upgrades and replacing complete suspension etc. Now at $7k in the car it is terrific and worth every penny of the money spent. One thing for sure, nobody ever bought a used car that did not need to spend some money on it. If you want great suspension and handling, you are going to have to add that onto the cost of the car. Same for chip, wheels, tires, etc, etc, etc. It is always best to start with the newest and best car you can afford and find. Nothing wrong with a low mileage 89. The big six has honking torque and revs quick to redline. Great fun.
Just buy it.
