before tearing into the radiator
the sensor is pretty simple not much to fail, but the wires break or the plug usually gets dirty and throw false readings.
I'm getting a coolant level warning and my level is fine. I want to check the sensor but my bently doesnt show how to remove the tank. Do you have to follow the empty, refill and bleed proceedures as shown in the bently when removing the tank?
Thanks
Nate

After removing the obvious upper stuff the body of the tank is held in by the O-ring, just pull strait up. Thats on an M50 motor in 1995 anyways,
Good luck,

The sensor lead and plug are below the tank. Removing the tank won't help you get at it, as the sensor is bolted to the radiator shell below the tank. To remove the sensor (if you have to, and you probably don't -- clean the plug contacts and it'll probably fix it) you have to remove the radiator.
