    Default How to take this out?

    I recently got new subs, and the vibration from the rear window is hideous. What I wanted to know was, how do you disassemble the rear panel. I want to place some sort of padding underneath to stop the rattling. The panel looks like this:

    I want to take out the whole thing like in the pic.

    Thanks,

    Default I think you gotta

    take out the rear seat back to access the fasteners and it should come off.

    remove the rear seat by pulling up on it... its not screwed in place.

    then remove the rear seat back by taking out two screws behind the center armrest and single screw on each side of the seat (look under the black padding to find the screws.

    that will expose the rear shelf... you can work from there

    What they said. When I did my system, I had bumper rattle. That annoyed the hell out of me. Turns out I had a couple screws came lose for the cover.

    Oh, I wanted to add: I thought I had a rattle under the parcel shelf, and it turns out it was actually the CD changer bracket in the trunk. Check that out before you take the time to pull the shelf out.

    It goes in this order:

    Remove;
    1) Rear seat lower cushion,
    2) Upper cushion
    3) Rear pillar lights
    4) Rear pillar covers (pry from the top, they slip in down the bottom)
    5) Rear parcel shelf

    If you try to remove the parcel shelf you can but you fight and damage the finish on the pillar covers.
