Default M3 winter wheels on 525i

Anyone have any thoughts on my trying to put the following wheels on my E34 for winter?

(4)E36 M3 winter wheels & tires, size 215/45R17. Michelin Pilot Alpin snow tires mounted on Mille Miglia aluminum wheels.

    1. I can get them for a really good deal.
    2. I know that I have to buy spacer rings
    3. Some have said that 17" wheels tend to get pretty harsh on our cars or they may rub in places.

Do you guys think this is just too weird of a match for winter wheels?

    Thanks.
    Ben

I think the M3 has pretty normal offsets...dont know for sure.See if the guy knows the offsets,if it 20 mm + or- 5mm with 235/45 17 tyres you will be sweet.17's will be a little more harsh over uneven surfaces but the ride is still good

yeah, make sure that they're not +40mm offset, I got ****ed by a guy who lied about the offset just a few days ago.
