    Default Exhaust Considerations...

I'm thinking about putting a better exhaust onto the e34, and a friend recommended an aeroturbine muffler. He has it on his 99 ford contour SVT and it made a world of difference, but I know a ford and a BMW are 2 different animals. Would I be able to use a single 3030 (3" inlet and outlet) muffler, or would it be better for me to put in 2 2525's (2.5" inlet and outlet), since the car has dual exhaust up to the muffler? It's actually rather interesting how the mufflers work, check out the tech here. If this would be a bad idea, I'm thinking about the bav auto tri-flo, or the remus, but I think that the aeroturbine would be my best bet. Help me out, gurus of bmw's!

That's not tech info. It's marketing bloat.

Only cars with shitty exhausts anything can beneift from such cheaply made replacements.

Get an OE muffler it has at least been engineered. Changing the exhaust dynamics on these cars is not good unless you also change the inductution (ie buy a turbo or a supercharger etc.)

    Don't do it.

I'd get an ANSA, costs like sub-$200, fits perfectly and last for ages. Just put nice tips on it if you care about the look of it.

Or go the EBERSPAECHER Muffler, $300 odd. Why bother going with something **** when you can buy OE quality for so little?

Genie tornado, straight through muffler, flows better than a straight pipe and reduces the noise around 10db, the reference is on autospeed.com
