Thread: a clutch pack

    Default a clutch pack

I just installed a clutch(per winfreds archive post) I could not get the bellhousing pump assembly on the tranny case with out the small race and bearing moving out of place. So i went a different route.I put the planetary gear on the b clutch shaft then then small washer race and bearing on the planet gear, put the lipped race on the input shaft then put the shaft on the drive gear. Then the A clutch basket on the input shaft till it snaps all the way back. Then large race and bearing on backside of A clutch basket.Install the bellhousing/pump on to case.spins free, looks right. So Winfred, if you see this let me know if I can do it this way.Seems like the same, just starting on the B clutch with gear and working out to the a clutch basket. My hands could not hold the gear tight enough to keep it all in place when sliding in the bell/pump assembly
