    Default flaping noise from rear of vehichle 1989 525i on windy days at 60mph and above??????

    have new exhaust system and everything is tight only get noise on windy days.1989 525i 166000 miles. only happens at 60mph and above.?????

    Default Could be a body trim piece loose...

    My windshield surround flapped in high wind before I glued it down, maybe your rear windscreen trim piece or one of the bumper strips is loose. If it's wind related, I would suspect body pieces like trim and bumpers...

    Is it like a flag flapping or more of a clunk?
