i hardly ever bother with the broken vents i encounter, it's so far up in the tunnel and fairly well protected on all sides i doubt anything could reach it short of desert racing conditions
The job went quickly, took only about 45 minutes to do the clutches & put the bell housing back on after finishing the oil pump seal & bushing. Then I burned another couple hours dealing with a broken vent dammit at the rear of the trans. Here's a few pic's:
