Brake pads moving around. No big deal.
2 weeks away from vacation, I'm working 12hrs/day, 7 days/wk (for the past 2 months) and I'm not home. Which means..car trouble.
1994 525i. Driving at highway speeds it's quiet, but if you're driving slow (down a residential street) there is a chirp that sounds sort of like a loose hubcap. Hit the brakes and it goes away. Turn and it goes away.
Wheel bearing or brake clip?
I'm leaving for vacation on 4/6 for a couple of weeks and need to get this taken care of before I go, any suggestions are more than welcome. I'll be driving around 1400 miles RT through parts of BFE and I don't want to get stuck with something broken in BFE <insert either NC, SC, GA, AL, FL>.

I agree, brakes. Mine did the same thing until I did the rear breaks. No biggy.

buy 4 new brake clips from the dealer, should fix it right up without you having to diagnose which wheel the noise is coming from. i've had a brake clip go "intermittent" but work once it was swapped from wheel to wheel. i'm assuming that they can stretch or such.
