There's a mob in queensland who ship containers from the usa to brisbane. I'll give you the link when I'm at home. of course you will have to wait 6-8 weeks then get it shipped from brisbane to adelaide.
Ive been searching google and the forums for a little while now with seemingly no hope of getting a diff sent to me from USA for under $300 (more than the unit itself).
I checked Fedex, usps, and http://www.wtxglobal.com.
And all seems so damn expensive.
Im not really sure how to search for shipping.
Can anyone help me out with this? or are the prices i found really the cheapest ways of doing it?

I have shipped a few things over seas for work, but never down under. Those shipping prices are INSANE!!
My wife is Chinese and from Phillipines. Many of her friends send back packages to this country called Balikbayan boxes. They take about a month and one half and it costs 105.00 to send. My wife says they only have service to PH. but I suspect there is a way if you can find PH. company on internet that has expanded service. PH has expatriots everywhere. Even if you have it shipped to PH and then to Aust? Good luck
Just ship a 20 ft container. I'll help load it up over here with bits...just send me a shopping list

Id be happy to order a few other bits with you and split the postOriginally Posted by genphreak

How much does diff weighs? If it is under 75 pounds. you could have airline deliver it to you... It is much cheaper to travel to US... pick it up... and then go back with it. Vacation time!
I think it depends on weight and urgency. Obviously the slower, the cheaper.
For my parts from BMA I get them to use USPS - 4 days to Oz and the price, when added to the cost of the parts, means I am so far ahead of buying from dealers that I still pinch myself to see if it is real.
