paint code

Hey guys, Doing some paint work on my 89 520i soon and im going to buy the paint during the week, just wondering does anybody know the paint and the paint code i need to ask for ? as this is my first time going to buy paint for the car.

you can see it on the sticker, 294/5 left side bottom.
294 is the main designation for lazurblau-metallic and the 5 at the end is the fine nuance of this colour.
I have the same sticker here at my desk from my last parts car E32 750iL

I went to a car accessory shop with the BMW code number, they mixed the same color for my dolphin grey 750 within 15 minutes. Could either get it in a bottle or in spray can.
No need to buy from BMW if they do not have it on stock, They mix it to a perfect match.

On E34's normally on a plate on the RHS Strut tower under the bonnet - the plate will give the colour name and the paint code number.
