    Default Just turned 200,000 miles on the e34

    Well it finally got there.. hit the 200,000 mile marker.. i have been shopping around for another car to take its place.. but i am not sure that i wanna move on.. cant find anything with the great styling of the e34... ohhh what to do, what to do

    should have another 100k if you used Dino oil, synthetic??? maybe 400-500k? Keep the car up so it will sell and enjoy.

    My friend surpassed the 300k mile marker a month or so ago on his 525i M20 engine, but its running strong!

    I have 302.000 on mind I would run it against anything.

    Put a few bucks in the kitty for a new timing chain, sprockets, headgasket, Redline (or similar) in tranny and differential, waterpump, etc. and plan on another 200K. That'll cost a lot less than transaction expenses on whatever else you're likely to find, and you'll know what you have.

    My 91 with the m50 has 205,000 miles and runs like new.
    And has not had a pampered life.
