    Default Boot straps

    Hey everyone,

Just a quick question to you all, I am wanting to replace my missing straps that go into the boot floor of my E34. There is a guy in the UK selling two (I only need one, but they're starting at GBP 0.99 so I don't mind) but they come from a 3 series. I asked the guy if it would fit in my E34 and he says yes, but I want to be 100% sure so who else to ask but all you lot in here

So, is it true? 3 series boot straps fit in the 5er fine?

If you don't need both of them, I'll take one off your hands! I'm missing one.

I'm about to buy one from bma. They sell them for about US$6 each and they are new so the ends wont rip off them any time soon.

My E36 boot straps fit in my E34.

That can be arranged. If I decide to get them and I win the auction, I will let you know. I only need one as well and have no use for the spare one.

Probably shipping cost from the U.K. is more expensive than to buy from BMA new ones.

I thought about this, but then decided to do some arithmetic.

Assuming I get both straps for the starting price of GBP 0.99, the eBay auction states GBP 3.50 postage to Australia. So total cost to Australia will be GBP 4.49 = AUD $10.82

myles has stated that one new boot strap is $6. I am assuming this is US dollars, so USD $6 = AUD $7.32. If BMA can deliver the strap from the US to Australia for AUD $3.50, then it would equal the cost of bringing it from the UK via eBay. Disadvantage of the UK one is that it is advertised as "like new" and not brand new like BMA. Disadvantage of BMA is that you only get one strap, not two.

Never saw 'em before. Never noticed a place for them to attach either.
Buy enough beer to fill the trunk and you won't need 'em.
