Default FYI, Tie rod links and Tires

I have a 95 525i, 136k, all stock, no performance upgrades, bought it off lease in 97.

Just had new tie rod links put on, new tires, and a 4 wheel alignment. No more shimmy, vibration or front end shake. It is unbelievable, the car drives like it did when it was new. Another reminder of why I keep it.

No matter how you slice it up, it's cheaper to maintain these cars and put as many miles as possible on it than it is to buy a new one.

The wife is also pissed. It rides and handles better and is quieter than her 03 E500.

Maybe you should look into putting new tie rods and tires on the MB?

Yeah... the thing of the alignment shop... Heck, if they can get more money for it, they will do it. That is not the big thing... the big thing is lots of cars that went on the alignment rack don't need adjustment... that's practically free money!
