transmission swap
My car has 205k on the odo. I got my car back from a local shop for something else and now, my tranny makes a fluttering noise in all but 5th gear under acceleration. The noise is not as bad in 1st and worse in 2,3,4 gears. If I am cruising, it rides smooth. the sound is definately audible in the car but not loud. My question is, I looked on the board in another thread where someone put in a zf310 in their car but used a custom driveshaft for an auto to manual swap. I was wondering how hard is it to swap the output flanges from a getrag 250 to a zf310 0r 320 and will they fit. Is there any type of tolerances like the rear diff thats involved. I ask because i am not surre if the shop would warranty the work if i have them alter the part. I would get another getrag but it seems the mileage is higher on them. For the money i am going to spend , i'd rather upgrade if it's possible
