What's the trick to getting a wrench to front facing bolts?

Any tips would be helpful

Notice that the transmission cross member has a clearing in the middle of it. Simply put a close wrench up thru there. Rotate the drive shaft for every 2 bolts - I can get 2 at a time thru the clearing, then rotate.. etc.

Thats what I was trying to do. My closed end has a slight angle to them. Do I need one without the angle?
