Default KYB GR-2 shocks and Vogtland springs

has anyone run this setup? if so how was it? are kyb's as bad as they are
    made out to be?

i found a deal for both the shocks & springs for 380 + shipping ($60)

    thanks,
    Dave

I never owned a KYB but everywhere I turn... KYB is really bad... People said they are pretty much on the same level as Boge standard shocks.

Stay away from KYB and Meyle for suspension stuff.

I only have Meyle endlinks on my car, but so far they have been great, 12 000 km's later...

Default thanks guys what about the group buy on lowtec?

    http://forums.bimmerforums.com/forum...=780696&page=8

$679 is a little more north than what i want to put into the car. (i look at it that i could get a set of bilstein hd's and do the mtech sway bar upgrade and be around that same price.)

but i'm still learning what's the best bang for the buck when it comes to e34's.

I also found this deal and another with the same springs and billi touring class shocks for only 10 bucks more. I think the KYB shocks might be a little stiffer which for me is a good thing. I looked on some other forums and read some reviews on the KYB shocks and others think that they are ok. I will probably buy this set...

What else should I replace while I'm at it.... my shocks have been worn out for a while so I am thinking about mounts, control arm bushings, and thrust arms... Anything else? I am a poor ass student so I only want to do what is really necessary.

i have the vogtland/kyb and it was the worst thing I ever spent money on.
i'm going to try another set of shocks but imo the vogtlands lower ride height without increasing spring rate enough to keep from bottoming out.
eibach springs w/ bilstein HD or sports is what I should've gotten.

i use kyb with h&r springs and i've been impressed with them... most people swear by bilstein or koni... i'm very satisfied with the way my car handles

Eibach Prokit springs and Konis are a good combination!
