    Default aftermarket cat

i have an 89 525i with a bad cat (mainly due to breaks in the pipes)
i have no intention of trying to patch, weld or otherwise repair this 18 yr old piece of exhaust. i also do not want to Break My Wallet. so with that being said i found a converter (aftermarket ) on EBAY . total bolt in deal. made by a company called EASTERN. instead of two pipes in & out of the converter. it has 2 into 1 -then go into the smaller than oem converter and 2 out. has anyone used this design of converter and if so , what were the results? any help is appreciated.

i do not have inspection at this time , but may one day, so i'd rather not put in a straight pipe. i'd like to get it now while i have the $
