Power Sport Seat Height adjust switch F'ed?

The base of the seat will not lower when the switch is pushed down. It will lower to the Memory position with pressing the Memory buttons and then the switch WILL raise the seat but then won't lower it. Seat back lower and raise works fine as does the seat angle adjustment and the forward /Rear movement so seems the Motors must be OK... Can i just buy a new switch mechanism and swap it out? Seat have to come out?

Bill did a fix for this. Looks simple enough & is probably all the more that's wrong with yours. Worth a shot:

my set stopped going backwards and forwards...all idid was prise off the switches them selves in preparation for attempting to remove the plastic cover on the side f the seat.I then started cleaning all the dust of the motors and operating the switches to see if i could determine which motor did what.I checked all the connections and hey presto the seat started moving again!
