why not a porsche boxster or a z4?
or an m coupe?
ps your link is broken
... that looks like the direction I'm headed. Lots of fun to play with. The only hitch now is this car needs to go to someone I know who'll appreciate it. I haven't fully made up my mind yet. That e39 M5 is damn tempting, but expensive to hold in insurance. Almost $300 extra a month :|

That's easy. Boxster is too typical. M coupe ins too expensive. Z4 has no rear seats (baby enroute). Believe me, I would have a Z4. Always wanted. TT was after that. And I noted I said roadster. I meant coupe. The link works... http://jasonlau.ca/temp/car.html

Do yourself a favor and lease it. You dont want to be holding the bag on this one when it comes time to sell.
"The gas pedal wouldn't go to the floor if it weren't meant to be there"
Not really. It would be a used one. 2001/2 about 17000 CAD.
i can't wait to see you gripe when you start to service the TT. just open hood and see.

Be bloody careful about service history, some of those engines in Europe are known to drink oil-bore trouble from new- and they are also hyper sensitive with alignment, one kerb on rear and handling goes to bits.I know its not a BM but try a Honda S2000, that engine is something else, buy an old Volvo for the ankle biter!
^^ S2ks are 2 seater's aren't they? If you're into Audi's, have you tried locating an s4 or something along those lines. I don't know if you may share my interest in Volvo's, but the S60R's are quite eye catching by me. I'm not sure on price but I would definately take a look into one or both of those cars. Of course, Audi's will be expensive to fix, just as BMW's are. But like any other car I'm sure if you keep up with the maintenance those expensive trips to the garage will be eons apart.
if it's what you really want, then go for it. but i see more tt's than i do boxsters...and it won't be as fun to drive. Haldex awd = :S:S:S
s4's are total maintenance NIGHTMARES. I love the car, but do not buy a used one unless you are totally prepared for the cost. Not comparable at all to our bmw's - this is true of many audis of that era.
I compared the new Z4 to the TT and freak... the TT is LEAGUES ahead in styling, both interior and exterior. I can't consider a Z4 either way because no rear baby seat possibility Oh, did I mention it handles like a dream, compared to the Z4 3.0?
I am VERY tempted to lease a new TT 3.2 or even 2.0. Still, the 2002 TT Coupe is still in my sights...
