Shogun, what exactly do you do for a living again?
Well, we did it again on a friend's car and remanufactured the complete 4HP24 of an 12/1992 750iL Highline.
Just for the records we made about 50 pics which you can find on my website below under
SHOGUN´S TRANNY REPAIR : 4HP24 tranny repair after 200 k km
Hope it helps when you repair yours. Actually the real experts are JB1, Take, Hairywithit and I am the "assistant cleaner" ;-)
see 2nd section, about 50 pics, see link in my sig
See you in 1 week, I am on the way to the airport to fly to Istanbul from Japan
I could imagine to do that after retirement as a hobby job, small repair shop for oldtimer E32/E34
But now I have to leave for the airport, as I have to catch a flight from Tokyo to Istanbul for a business trip.
See you next week again
So your business is e34 and e32's and you are flying to Istanbul for a business trip. What are you doing there?
Zac
While the internals were out, was there anything done to the valve body to improve shifts? Springs etc.? What type of kit or clutches did you guys use?

Good point. Yeah, I looked into the BMW GM and ZF automatics and like many other autos the weak points are the planetary gears. Too bad there isn't more support for these. I guess the BMW market for modifications lies with the manual trannies.Originally Posted by Bin_jammin
