Darnd creaking noise comming from under dash.

This is a big stab in the dark. My car is a RHD 525im 89'. And 6 months ago I noticed this annyoing creaking noise comming from under the dash (near the accelerator pedal) it happens when the car is being manouvered or taking off from still or when going around corners. Some days the creak is worse than others I have taken all the cladding around the entire area (apart from removing the dash itself) and cant seem to find where its comming from. Its definetly behind the firewall somewhere.

Are there any bolts or sheets of metal that rub together that can come loose? I was thinking a weld joint might have broken but thats a bit excessive.

I had a similar squeek. It was the spring under the accelerator pedal. I WD40'd it and squeek is gone. Try it.
